Litro de Luz is made by people and for all people!
We value diversity in all its forms and believe that different experiences, stories, and perspectives make our work stronger and more transformative.
We are a space of inclusion, where everyone is welcome. Together, we build an environment of respect, active listening, and collaboration—because we know that it’s only possible to light up the world when no one is left behind.

We are a group committed to the pursuit of equal opportunities and fair treatment for everyone, rejecting discriminatory and prejudiced practices that may affect others—such as Liters, community residents, partners, and all people connected to Litro de Luz, as well as society as a whole.
We believe that discrimination must be eradicated from our society by confronting all the ways it manifests in our interactions with every audience we engage with, directly or indirectly.

As a civil society organization, part of Litro de Luz’s mission is to make decisions grounded in respect, care for others, and the building of transparent internal and external relationships, guided by fairer, more ethical, and innovative approaches.
We also understand that, in the face of existing inequalities, it is not enough to reject discriminatory practices—we must take action to correct these imbalances, working to overcome the barriers that limit access to opportunities for each individual we engage with, as well as for the vulnerable communities we serve.

Many of these marginalized groups face discrimination rooted in historical issues that persist to this day and must be addressed through equal opportunities and dignified, fair treatment.
We strive to become an increasingly inclusive, respectful, and diverse environment that promotes Human Rights. To achieve this, we work toward improving the living conditions of the communities we serve while being an organization that welcomes all Litro de Luz volunteers and staff—without exception.
At Litro de Luz, we believe that inclusion and diversity strengthen our organizational culture, making it more vibrant and helping us embrace different perspectives to drive meaningful social transformation.
We are committed to not tolerating any form of hate speech, disrespect, injustice, physical, verbal, or emotional violence, or any offensive language or behavior.

Diversity in the first person

"When I joined Litro de Luz, I was looking for a concrete way to contribute to a fairer world. What I found was much more than that: I found a network of affection, exchange, and belonging.
I am a bisexual woman and part of the Partnerships team. Here, I learned that attentive listening, respect for people’s journeys, and collective work can indeed transform realities — including our own.
Each field trip, each conversation with a community leader, each meeting with volunteers reminds me that taking up this space as who I am is also a political act, and an act of hope.
Litro taught me that there is no social impact without diversity, and that every true transformation begins with fairer human relationships.
I share this testimony with an open heart, hoping that more people will feel free to exist fully — here and everywhere.
We keep on building."
