ACTIONS

Litro de Luz Brasil has been carrying out lighting actions in communities across Brazil since 2014. We work together with residents to assemble and install solar solutions. Our goal is to provide safe and sustainable lighting, empowering communities in the process. In this way, we contribute to improving the quality of life and safety in the areas served.

Aldeia Mata Verde Bonita

6/28/25

We have completed another action in the state of Rio de Janeiro, this time in the Mata Verde Bonita Village in Maricá. The community, composed of newly resettled families, received solar posts and lamps in areas without access to lighting.

This action was the result of a process of community listening and mapping, followed by the creation of a Working Group and the training of Nexans volunteers. An example of a partnership that brings light with respect and collective building.

Comunidades do Rio Negro

6/26/25

In partnership with Audi, we brought sustainable lighting to three riverside communities along the Rio Negro (AM). A total of 22 wooden-based posts with lithium batteries and 178 solar lamps were installed.

The action included the participation of 8 Audi employees and the presence of journalists who followed the entire experience. The initiative generated direct social impact for the families in the region, while also increasing the visibility of sustainable solutions in remote areas of Amazônia.

Ilha do Marajó

6/12/25

We carried out a major action on Marajó Island, in partnership with Copa Energia, benefiting the communities of Tartarugueiro and Santana do Arari. A total of 80 solar posts were installed, enhancing safety, mobility, and quality of life.

During the four days of action, we trained 19 local ambassadors — 10 in Tartarugueiro and 9 in Santana — strengthening community autonomy and leadership. The experience was marked by a cultural immersion on the banks of the Arari River, reinforcing the power of sustainable solutions in riverside and quilombola territories.

Guarulhos

5/31/25

We visited the Wassu and Filhos Desta Terra Villages in Guarulhos (SP) for a transformative action in partnership with BTG Pactual. A total of 13 solar posts and 33 solar lamps were installed, bringing clean and safe lighting to the families in the region.

The day was marked by a rich cultural exchange, with an assembly workshop, toré (traditional dance), colonial-style coffee, and a community lunch. Seven Indigenous ambassadors were trained throughout the project and took part in every stage, becoming multipliers within their communities. The action celebrated the leadership of Indigenous peoples and reinforced our commitment to sustainable and respectful impact.

São Paulo

3/22/25

In another collaboration with EDP, Litro de Luz arrived in the Barra de São Miguel community in Guarulhos (SP) to install 30 solar streetlights. The initiative, supported by Instituto Sonhar Alto—an organization accelerated by Gerando Falcões and actively engaged in the region—was divided into two phases due to planned sanitation works in the area. The first phase took place on March 22, 2025, resulting in the installation of nine solar streetlights in the community. Litro de Luz volunteers, EDP employees, and Sonhar Alto collaborators actively participated, and four residents were trained as local ambassadors.

Cariacica

2/15/25

Litro de Luz kicked off its 2025 action calendar with a special partnership with EDP, bringing light to the community of Piranema, located in Cariacica, Espírito Santo. During the initiative, 50 solar streetlights were installed throughout the community, with fundamental support from EDP employees in Vitória. The connection with residents was strengthened through the formation of eight local ambassadors, who now serve as guardians of the technology and knowledge multipliers.
